About The Outdoor Gear

The Outdoor Gear is a family business founded by Al and Maria Whitworth. We are outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy hiking and exploring throughout the US.  In the last few years our hikes have included California, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Hawaii.   At the Outdoor Gear we know our customer is number 1, and we believe in quality, affordability, reliable service and having a great time outdoors!

The Outdoor Gear was formerly affiliated with Amtai Imports, the parent company of Sierra Experience, Inversion, White Sierra and other brands.   As a newly independent Mom & Pop store we are now able to offer lower prices on outdoor apparel while maintaining the same dedication to quality.

Orders are typically shipped within 2 business days, and many are shipped within 24 hours. Orders of $80 or more qualify for free shipping, please use code freeship80. FreeShip80 waives the cost of UPS Ground Shipping in the Continental USA. Please note that in the event of a return, shipping charges will be deducted from merchandise returns that bring the total order to less than $80.

Our Guarantee

Everything we sell is guaranteed against material and workmanship defects for at least one year.
Returns and exchanges can be made on any new and unused product within 60 days of purchase, less the cost of shipping & handling.
For a return or exchange, email us at admin@theoutdoorgear.com. Please put "Guarantee" and the 3 digit order number (i.e. Guarantee-111) in the email subject heading. This helps us match the return to the correct order.
